Getting Started at St. Edward's University
1. Apply for admission and be accepted.
2. Submit all transcripts, including military transcript, to the Office
of Admission.
3. Meet with an academic advisor to declare a major and enroll in classes.
4. Submit required documents to the St. Edward’s University VA Coordinator.
(See benefits and documents needed checklist)
5. If necessary, apply for financial assistance.
(VA Coordinator can assist you with this)
6. Once all required documents are received in the St. Edward’s University VA Coordinator’s office, your enrollment will be transmitted to the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA).
7. Book stipend (paid to student) and tuition (paid to St. Edward’s University) are generally disbursed at the same time, approximately 3 to 4 weeks after submission of your enrollment to the DVA.
8. BAH is paid directly to the student and typically is paid on the first of each full month of attendance. All payments are controlled by DVA and not by St. Edward’s University.
