I. Computer Competencies Subcommittee

James McGuffee presented the revised proposal for changing the Computer Competency Requirement. Proposed Revision Regarding implementation details, the Computer Competency Requirement Committee recommends the following:

II. Planning and Budgeting Subcommittee

Joyce Keller presented the "Initiatives Needing Technology Resources for School Year 2001-2002" document which Donna Jurick is requesting be completed by all Deans and academic VPs. This document is to be filled out with descriptions of the technological impact of new initiatives. A meeting with the Deans and VPs will be held with Donna J urick, Joyce, Mary, Ray, and Jann on 11/9 at 10:00 am. A meeting of the Subcommittee will be held on 11/10 at 10:00.

III. Assessment Subcommittee

Wendy Erisman reported that the survey has been renamed the "Evaluation of Student Use of Online Materials". They are nearing a final version. - 15 faculty have agreed to use the evaluation in at least one of their classes starting 11/5 - 11/22. - They are still looking for more faculty to have students complete the evaluation, particularly in the MBA and Natural Science schools.

IV. Mission Statement

Four separate mission statements were developed during the course of the meeting. A subcommittee will meet before the next meeting to combine them into one mission statement to be discussed during the next meeting.

Ray brought up the question of whether the TLTR's role was one of recommendation or one of decision making. The group seemed to agree that our role was that of recommendation.
