Scholarships and Fellowships for ENSP and MSEM Students

In our recent newsletter subscriber survey, we heard that you'd like to see more scholarship and fellowship opportunities available to students. Ask and you shall receive! This list is not exhaustive, so contact St. Edward's Office of Fellowships for more information and opportunities.


Harry S. Truman Scholarship
Funds graduate school in public service fields. Open to juniors, US citizens. 3 year public service obligation after graduate school.

Deadline: January

Udall Scholarship
$5000 a year and conference for sophomores or juniors with a demonstrated commitment to careers related to the environment. Nominees have at least a 3.0 GPA and record of service and leadership.

National Science Foundation Summer REUS
Funded science research at campuses across the country. Sample fields for students interested in the environment.

Deadline: Spring, various

Post Graduate:

One year of funded postgraduate study or teaching outside the U.S. Fulbright teaching assistantships are available in many countries. Seniors and alumni who are U.S. citizens.
Deadline: September
Two or three years of funded study at any university in Great Britain, graduate or undergraduate degree in any subject. For seniors and recent grads under 30 who are U.S. citizens. Selection is based on an outstanding academic record (minimum of A- GPA), remarkable participation in extracurricular activities, and evidence of individual initiative and public leadership.

National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program
Doctoral funding in research sciences. Three-year annual stipend of $34,000.

Deadline: November

Presidential Management Fellowship (PMF)
Two-year training and development program at a United States government agency, for a recent graduate alumni.

Deadline: November (depending on grant cycle)
