Verification of SNAP Benefits
On your FAFSA, either you or your parent reported receiving Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program benefits (formerly known as Food Stamps) during the 2012 calendar year (Jan. 1, 2012 - Dec. 31, 2012).
Because your FAFSA has been selected for a verification review, our office must confirm specific information reported on your form, including the receipt of certain federal benefits.
As a result, you must forward a copy of your 2011 and/or 2012 SNAP award letter or a printout of your SNAP benefits to our office. Make sure the statement includes the name of the individual receiving the benefits and remember to include the student name and SEU ID number on the form. Texas residents can visit the state's Health and Human Services Commission website to obtain a copy of their benefit information.
Failure to submit this documentation will delay the receipt of an official financial aid offer from St. Edward's.
