How to Post a Job
The following procedures apply for posting a new position in the EdWeb On Campus Jobs section:
Log in to EdWeb for Faculty and Staff. Go to the bottom of the left hand side and click on Student Job Posting. The job posting screen will appear. Click on Enter New Student Job posting and complete departmental information. Use the drop-down option to help complete each field. Be sure to leave Job Level at 1 (or higher) in order for the job posting to be viewed by prospective student employees. A sample student job posting is available for viewing.
When you have completed the appropriate fields, click on Submit Request. A Job Number will appear at the top. This number can be used to re-enter or revise the posting, to remove it from student viewing,or to resubmit at a later date.
Using a "1" or higher on the Number of Openings will display the position (vacancy) onto the website. Use zero for the number of openings to remove the position from student viewing. Using zero only removes the job posting from student viewing but the supervisor still has access to the job posting information via the assigned Job Number. Helpful prompts are available at the bottom of the page when creating a job posting.
To remove the posting from the web or to repost at a later date, repeat the steps above until you click on Enter New Student Job posting and scroll down to Office. Use the drop-down option to open the Office section and select your office. Click on the Begin Search box at the bottom of the page. Click on Job Number for the position to be reposted. Revise the listing or increase the number of openings to at least "1" then scroll to the top of the page and click on Update Job Posting to confirm the revised job posting and make available to prospective student employees.
