Freshmen! Apply now for a Living Learning Community. The priority application deadline is April 8th--and you can sign up when you complete your housing application!

When you arrive at St. Edward's University, you're going to be challenged to think critically and creatively about the world around you. Don't you want your living experience to match your academic journey?

That's where Living Learning Communities (LLCs) come in. In LLCs, students choose their housing based on a common theme or interest, and throughout the year, they explore the topic and deepen their knowledge of the subject.

We are expanding our options, so many more students can take advantage of the LLC program!

For the 2014-2015 academic year, freshmen can choose from eight LLCs, including:

Upperclass students may choose to live in one of two upperclass communities:

Each LLC lives together on the same floor or area of a residence hall. Students in the community take one or two courses together and participate in dinners, discussions, special events and service activities.

As a member of a living learning community, you'll get to know your professor(s) and develop friendships with your fellow students. Without a doubt, you'll leave your LLC with a strong network, ready to make your mark at St. Edward's.

How To Apply For An Upperclass LLC

Applications for the Faith & Service and Modern Languages Living Learning Communities will be available in Spring 2015.

How To Apply For A Freshman LLC

When you complete your housing sign-up, you'll have the opportunity to apply for a Living Learning Community. Space is limited, and the application process is selective, so apply for housing as soon as possible.

Please note: You will sign up for housing regardless of whether you are applying for a Living Learning Community. However, if you are accepted into a Living Learning Community, your housing assignment will be based on the Living Learning Community's location and will override your previous assignment.

The Living Learning Community application process for freshmen kicks off with Housing Sign-Up in February 2015. The priority deadline is in April.
