History of Jacques Dujarié Hall

Jacques Dujarié Hall opened in August of 2005. The hall was named after Father Dujarié, who was secretly ordained as a priest in 1795 during the French Revolution. Fr. Dujarié founded two religious orders, the Sisters of Providence and the Brothers of St. Joseph. The order of brothers later merged into the Congregation of Holy Cross under the direction of Blessed Basil Moreau.

Jacques Dujarié Hall Staff

Robert Morris - Residence Director

My name is Rob Morris and this is my third year as a Residence Director at St. Edward’s University. This is my first year working in Dujarié Hall, and I am so excited for all that is in store.  Dujarié Hall’s residents are known for being heavily involved in the hall’s activities and events, as well as other aspects of campus life. Dujarié is also home to the Honors and Social Justice Living Learning Communities (LLC), where students with a special interest in these areas live and study together during their freshman year. I know this will be a great year and that each resident will thrive in the Dujarié Hall community!

A little information about me: I graduated in 2006 with my B.A. in Political Science from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA. I decided to pursue my master’s degree after working for a year and a half at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. In May of 2010, I graduated with my master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from Virginia Tech. I have worked in a variety of capacities within the student affairs field, ranging from student activities to career advising. I am looking forward to the opportunity to take my educational background and skills to work with the students that make up the Dujarié Hall community.

My office is located directly behind the front desk adjacent to the lobby and lounge.  If there's ever anything I can do, or a question I might be able to answer, please don't hesitate to stop by.

Hello everyone! I’m Andrew, and I’ll be the Resident Assistant for Dujarie Hall First Floor East, home to the Honors Living Learning Community. I’m a senior criminology major here at St. Edward’s, and this will be my second year of RA’ing. Once I graduate in May 2013, I hope to join with one of the local police forces as an officer. I love hanging out with friends, and making new friends. I’m also passionate about autism research and education, and am currently starting the St. Edward’s chapter of Autism Speaks U. I’m very excited to get to know all of the residents in Dujarie Hall!
