Hunt, Le Mans & Johnson Halls

The Village

Discover urban living in the heart of campus. The residential village is composed of three residence halls--Hunt and Le Mans Halls, which house freshman students, and Johnson Hall, for upperclass students-- which offer a variety of designer touches in a contemporary environment. The halls feature kitchens, a large recreation room, laundry facilities, on-site resident mailboxes, 24-hour computer labs and study areas. In addition, the complex houses the university's second dining hall, convenience store, coffee shop and Health & Counseling Center.

The Village is home to two living learning communities (LLCs).  Le Mans Hall features the Natural Sciences LLC, funded by a generous grant from the National Science Foundation.  Hunt Hall hosts the newly re-designed Social Justice LLC.

Katelyn Erickson, Residence Director

Hi y'all! My name is Katelyn and I'm excited to introduce myself as the Residence Director for the Village- go Lions, roar! I am an Austin native who moved back to Texas last year after a long stint of living in Washington, Colorado and California. This is my second year at St. Edward's working in the Village and I absolutely love being a Hilltopper! In my free time I love swimming, running around Lady Bird Lake, eating my way down South Congress, going to outdoor concerts, and dreaming about the day I own a dog. I live in the apartment in Johnson Hall and am excited to get to know each of you and do life together as the Village community. Feel free to stop by my office in the front lobby of LeMans to say hi and introduce yourself at anytime :)

Katherine Frazer, LeMans RA

Hello! My name is Katherine Frazer, and this is my second year as a Village RA! This year, you can find me on the fourth floor of Le Mans. I am a junior Social Work major from San Antonio. My talents include picking things up with my toes and creating Catholic pick-up lines. I enjoy reading, swimming, exploring and board games. Make sure to come by my room if you ever want to challenge me in Apples to Apples, or if you just want to hang out. I am excited to get to know each of you!

Katy Gillis, LeMans RA

Hello there! My name is Katy Gillis and I’m a junior biology major here at St. Ed’s.  I’m probably one of the biggest nerds you’ll ever meet, so feel free to make as many science jokes as possible around me. I’m a big fan of eating, sleeping, swimming, and science. So if you share any of these interests or just want to come by to chat, you can find me on the 3rd floor of Le Mans. I shall be there with my other scientists…the Natural Science LLC! Wohoo! Anywho I’m so excited to meet everyone and have an amazing year together. Go Lions, Roar!

Chris Gonzales, LeMans RA

Christopher Gonzales is a seasoned Pokémon master and is currently studying environmental chemistry. He will be a sophomore in the fall and is outrageously excited to meet everyone and make sure that no one sets themselves on fire. Welcome to The Village don't hesitate to stop by and say hello and chit chat!

Jana Soares, Johnson RA

Welcome to the Hilltop, everyone!  My name is Jana Soares, and I am a senior Biology major.  St. Edward’s University has been my home away from home since I started college, though my family moved from NY, and now lives here in Austin.  This is my third year as an RA, and my fourth year living in The Village, and I could not be happier to be returning!  I think I can consider myself as a Lion for Life at this point (I am also a Leo).  Some of my hobbies include reading, writing, doing arts and crafts, and playing board games.  I also enjoy drinking tea (I recommend you try the London Fog at Jo’s), checking out campus activities, participating in service projects, and staying active through sports or outdoor activities.  I will warn you in advance that I tend to create my own puns (no joke) and share them with my family and friends.  One of my goals this year is to get all of you ROARING with laughter!  I look forward to meeting you and getting to know you! #golionsroar

I’m very excited for this year and can’t wait to meet y’all!

I have been an RA in the Village for the past year and a half, and I couldn't think of a better way to end my time at St. Edward's than by working with the new Film & Fiction LLC! This summer I have hugged James Franco, been kissed by an elephant, and crossed the Nile River, but I am positive that the upcoming school year in The Village has even greater things in store. I can't wait to meet all of you, and I am looking forward to a fun-filled year. Go lions, roar!
