Do you want your college experience to incorporate a healthy lifestyle? Do you enjoy being active, whether it is through fitness classes, regular workouts or outdoor adventure? Or are you looking for a healthy way to start your college experience?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, you may be a good fit for the Active Living LLC!

Students in the Active Living LLC live with other freshmen who are interested in the university's many opportunities to live a healthy, balanced lifestyle. They may participate in activities such as a casual game of sand volleyball, intramural flag football, yoga and a 5K fun run, and they cook and eat nutritious (and delicious) meals together.

*Because of scheduling conflicts, it's not recommended that NCAA athletes sign up for the Active Living LLC*

KINE 1160 - Active Life, Andy Lemons
Enrollment is limited to students admitted into the Active Life LLC. Each course will expose students to various types of active lifestyle choices, healthy behaviors, basic fitness principles, and foster a lifelong appreciation for recreation and wellness.

What is expected of you as a participant in the Active Living community?
  • Live with community members in Teresa Hall.
  • Enroll in a 1 credit kinesiology course in the fall and spring reserved just for the Active Living LLC.
  • Participate in monthy dinners or community outings.
  • Engage in community service each semester.
