Simulation & Modeling Track

Supporting Courses (12-13 hours)

A student must chose one of the following three tracks in order to fulfill the supporting courses requirement for the Bachelor of Science in Bioinformatics.

Simulation and Modeling Track (12-13 hours)
MATH 3305 Linear Algebra 3 hrs
CHEM 3336 Quantum Mechanics and Spectroscopy  
or CHEM 3337 Thermodynamics
or BIOL 3344 Neuroscience  
or BIOL 4442 Population Biology and Ecology  
or PHYS 2325 University Physics I  
and PHYS 2125 Mechanics and Waves Lab 3-4 hrs
COSC 4330 Artificial Intelligence  
or COSC 4331 Computer Graphics 3 hrs
COSC 4334 Modeling and Simulation 3 hrs
In addition to the major program requirements, all students must satisfy the general education requirements and unrestricted electives to have a total of at least 120 hours for graduation.
