Vendor RelationsManufacturers/Vendors have been determined based upon the following criteria:
- Manufacturers with good products and history of good reliability
- Consistent performance/compatibility of all components
- Established track record in manufacturing, sales, and service
- Successful in-house experience with the chosen product and configuration
- Maximum period of machine functionality
WarrantiesWarranty returns, replacements and fixes are dependant on their specific
vendor and manufacture policies. In general, technology purchases that have
been received more then 30 days prior reported incidents will not be taken
as returns for money reimbursements. When items cannot be returned,
Technical Acquisitions will work closely with Technical Services to help
facilitate warranty issues for technology products used by faculty and
staff. Other technical equipment, including that used in Lab and
Classrooms, will be expedited directly by Student Computing and Media
Services respectively.
