"Manage Your Online Presence" workshop helps students look good on Google

Wednesday night's presentation of the "Manage Your Online Presence" workshop saw high attendance of undergraduate and graduate students, curious about what employers are looking for when they use search engines to find the digital footprints of potential candidates online.

This workshop was offered as a part of the Office of Career Services’ workshop series aimed at preparing students for entering the job market. “Manage Your Online Presence” was presented by Megan Ura, IT Training Coordinator.

As technology and social media competencies have become mandatory for job hunting, the joint effort between the Offices of Career Services and Instructional Technology led to a successful event.

If you missed Wednesday’s talk, “Manage Your Online Presence” will be offered on a monthly basis as part of IT’s free computer workshops under the name “Social Media Management”. Check IT’s computer workshop schedule to register for the next workshop date.
