This Thursday, the Visiting Writers Series is sponsoring a live reading of the work of one of America’s most widely-produced and published contemporary playwrights, Steven Dietz. Since 1983, his twenty‐plus plays have been seen at over 100 regional theatres in the US, as well as Off‐Broadway. He’s won awards from the Kennedy Center and PEN USA. Student actors, Kendra Perez, Mitch Harris and Dillon Ford will be acting out the readings with Assistant Professors of Theater Arts, Sheila Gordon and Richard Robichaux.
This event also kicks off the Literary Festival organized by the English Honor Society, Sigma Tau Delta. Both the Visiting Writers Series and Literary Festival events are free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
