Services
The Health & Counseling Center provides a confidential and friendly environment to all students who seek treatment.
- Services are provided to all currently enrolled students.
- Services require an appointment unless it is a crisis or an emergency.
- For immediate medical, police, or fire response call 9-1-1 or the University Police Department 512-448-8444.
Health Services
Services at low or no cost to students include:
- Assessment and treatment of minor illnesses and injuries
- Prescriptions for medication if indicated
- Routine immunizations
- Nutrition, health and wellness education
- Information about medications, illnesses, medical conditions
- Lab testing
- Well woman exams, sports and travel physical exams
- After hours phone consultation available to discuss urgent problems (512) 892-7076
- Referral to appropriate health care providers in the community for illnesses and services beyond the scope of Health Services
- Students who have major or chronic medical conditions are advised to be under the care of a private physician.
Counseling Services
Services at no cost to students include:
- Individual short-term counseling
- Couples counseling
- Group therapy
- Biofeedback
- Referral to appropriate mental health care providers in the community for services beyond the scope of practice of the Health & Counseling Center.

Wellness and Outreach
Services and programs at no cost to students include:
- Stress management
- Suicide education and prevention
- Alcohol and drug education
- Wellness Workshop
- Wellness and Outreach Programs
- Hilltopper Healthquest
