Effective August 24, 2015 all medical appointments require a $5.00 office visit fee.
When labwork is ordered, and insurance coverage is not provided, the patient will be responsible for all lab fees.
Some wellness exams may incur minimal costs.
When an x-ray is ordered, patients are referred to Austin Radiology Associates (ARA). ARA requires insurance coverage or cash payment for services.
- Health Services are available to all currently enrolled students.
- University provided health insurance plan (Academic Health Plans) is not required for treatment.
- Visits do require an appointment

Health Services offers a wide array of appointment types. We effectively manage the vast majority of our patient concerns. However, if a patient presents with a condition outside our scope of practice, we will refer them to community resources that best fit their needs.
Students who have a major or chronic illness are advised to be under the care of a private local physician.

Canceling or Rescheduling an Appointment
Medical and Counseling appointments will incur a $25.00 no show fee.
When unable to keep an appointment, please contact the Health & Counseling Center 512.448.8686 as soon as possible. Scheduled medical appointments must be cancelled within 4 hours of appointment time.We will be happy to cancel or reschedule if necessary and would like to have open appointment times for other ill or injured patients. Your consideration in this matter is greatly appreciated.
Students are referred to community health care providers or specialists when the illness or injury is beyond our scope of services. This includes conditions such as asthma, diabetes, etc. Students are directly resonsible to these providers for incurred expenses.
