Mental Health Emergencies
In emergency circumstances that require an immediate police, fire, or medical response to preserve life or property, call 9-1-1 or the University Police Department at 512-448-8444.
Crisis or Urgent Assistance
In the event of a mental health crisis during regular business hours, crisis and urgent care appointments are available. Please call 448-8538 or come to the office (Lady Bird Johnson Hall, first floor). Identify the situation as urgent or a crisis.
After hours Professional Consultation
Consultation for all SEU students, as well as their concerned friends, family, faculty, or staff is always available on fairly short notice. When the center is closed, call the University Police Department at 512-448-8444 and the dispatcher will contact the Psychologist on call.

Do not use an ER for minor illnesses(i.e. colds, flu, cough, sore throat, earache, rash, minor burns, muscle strains) or injuries that are not life-threatening.

After-Hours Medical Advice
- Students enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan may call CareNet at 877-924-7758 for 24/7 consultation with a Registered Nurse.
- Medical advice is also available through South Austin Family Practice at 512-892-7076.
