Do not use an ER for minor illnesses(i.e. colds, flu, cough, sore throat, earache, rash, minor burns, muscle strains) or injuries that are not life-threatening.

After-Hours Medical Advice

  • Students enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan may call HumanaFirst at 800-622-9529 for 24/7 consultation with a Registered Nurse. 
  • Medical advice is also available through South Austin Family Practice at 512-892-7076.
