Check back for application materials for the 2013 Passion & Civility Debate Tournament.
Application
Participants and judges should fill out the current registration form. Your availability should show when you ARE available, and these times need to be relatively unchanging for the ease of matching you to your opponent. The contestant and judge packets will provide thorough information regarding the debate process.
Dates & Deadlines
Information Sessions
Information sessions are optional for students and judges. They will cover in detail information pertaining to the tournament, including judging critiera and tips for unexperienced debaters. Dates and times will run in the St. Edward's e-newsletters (Horizon, Student E-News).
Deadline to sign-up for the tournament
Please fill out the registration form. Deadline for registration is Friday, Feb. 1, 2013.
Tournament run time
The tournament will begin in February 2013 and continue through the Final Debate on Tuesday, March 5, 2013.
Final Debate
The Final Debate consists of the top four debaters from the tournament squaring off in two semi-final debates and one finals debate. Refreshments and snacks are provided! The event is free and open to the public.
