Dear Students,

Welcome back to the Hilltop and for some, welcome for the first time!  This is going to be a great year and we want you all to take care of yourselves!  Besides the heat here in Austin, the weather on the east coast has proven difficult for many over the past several days.  In fact, some of your families may still be with us because they are unable to get home as planned. 

For those who may have family impacted by Hurricane Irene, please know you are in our prayers and we want you to know about resources on campus!  It can be stressful to be far away from your families when they are experiencing difficult times, so don’t hesitate to reach out and ask for help.  While all of us, faculty, staff and fellow students, can be good to share concerns with, please note the following resources:
