It also allows you to monitor student progress, engage students with on screen demonstrations, control Web browsing and guide student learning from the teachers station. Faculty may contact Computer Training at training@stedwards.edu for further training on this software.
Note: This software is only available currently in Trustee Hall 205 and 305 and MH 206.

To Lock and Unlock Student Computers
You can lock the mouse and keyboard on student computers when you want to get their attention. This will disable the mouse and keyboard on all student computers in your classroom and display the vision eye image.
On the Home tab, in the Controlling group, click Blank Screen.

To Unlock all student computers, click the Stop Function button.

Alternative: If you want to lock the mouse/keyboard on student computers but not replace their desktop with the Vision eye image, and still get students attention:
On the Home tab, in the Controlling group, click Block Input.

Troubleshooting in the classroom:
Please remember, if you Lock (Blank Screen or Block Input) the use of the classroom computers or block use of the Internet, click the Stop Function button:

This is important especially after you have completed your class so that the next instructor has full use of the computers in the classroom.
Supervise/Monitor All Classroom Computers
To supervise or monitor all the classroom computers the default supervision view in Vision appears as small thumbnail images on the teachers station. You may change the size of the thumbnails by using the zoom tool at the bottom left of the screen and move the thumbnails to match the physical classroom layout.
Alternate view for Supervision: On the View tab, in the Classroom View group, click Classroom Monitor.

The classroom computers will display in a separate window that has one or more pages, depending on the number of student computers.

To Block the use of the Internet
On the Home tab, in the Controlling group, click Lock Web:

Locked indicates students cannot browse the Internet. Unlocked indicates students are not restricted from accessing the Internet.
To unlock the Internet and allow students to browse the Internet on all student computers, click the Stop Function button.
