Templates
Email templates are useful to any one who constantly sends out the same email message to multiple recipients. This Zimlet allows users to quickly insert any earlier emails as templates to New, Reply, Forwarded emails and also calendar invites.
Setting Up Templates
Step1: Create Templates:
This Zimlet uses existing emails as templates. It also brings the power of html editor for you to use and design.You can use generic names to replace common word.
- Create an email that you want to use as the template.
- Insert generic name to be replaced by useing the following format:
${generic_name}
- Send the email with the template to yourself
- When you receive the email, drag it to the Template folder. Now you can open up a new message window and select the Template from the Template menu.

Just before inserting the template Zimlet will alert you to replace them.
For example: (Hello ${firstname}, ). This can be in the body or the subject of the message.

Step2: Setup a folder to keep all your Templates
- After you have created few template emails, move all these emails to a central folder.

Set this folder as your template folder by going to Preferences

Click Set Templates Folder button.

- Browser to the folder where you are going to keep your template emails
- Click OK
- Click OK
Using Templates

Select Template from the Menu
When you compose a new message go to Templates and select from your templates. You will get the option to insert, body only, body and subject, and body, subject and participants.

Replace generic text(s).
