There are several new features that Windows 7 provides. One is the option to Pin Applications to your Start Menu or Task Bar.

1. Left click on the Windows button located on the bottom left corner of your desktop.
   
2. A list of all available programs will appear. Locate which program/application you would like to pin. Then right click on that application.
3. The following menu list will appear. Simply choose in which location you would like to pin the application, The Start Menu or your Task Bar.
   
4. Once you double-click on either option you will see an Icon representing that application appear in either location.
