Instructional Design
Instructional Computing offers in-depth Instructional Design services. We work with faculty to design their courses with the appropriate technologies to address the desired learning goals and accurate assessment. We frequently work with Blackboard, blogs, wikis, digital audio/video, streaming services, podcasting and online classroom environments. We also provide assistance with research design along with statistical set-up and analysis.
One-on-One Consultation
Whether you need help with an existing technology, or you would like to design a new project we are here to help. Please email us at instcom@stedwards.edu to set-up an appointment, or feel free to stop by our offices in the Faculty Resource Center in Premont Hall.
Faculty Web Site Creation
Let us help you design and publish your faculty Web site. A personal site may be used to deliver course information, personal interests, research, academic experience, conference information along with other topics you may wish to include. As part of our services we employ graphic arts students to give a fresh look to your site and give it a look and feel that matches your personality and interests. Requests are served on a first come first serve basis. Please email us at instcom@stedwards.edu to schedule a consultation.
Academic Group and Course Web Sites
Not only can we help you with your personal Web site, we also help design and implement sites for academic groups and courses. These sites may be simply deliver information, or they may be robust community pages using Web 2.0 technologies such as blogs, podcasting and wikis. Please email us at instcom@stedwards.edu to schedule a consultation.
