Instructions for Home or Off Campus Set Up of Email

These instructions are NOT for use by faculty and staff on campus or on university owned computers.  All faculty and staff should use the Zimbra Connector for Outlook or setup Mac Mail with IMAP.

For Off Campus access to St. Edward's Email it is highly recommended that you use Zimbra WebMail.

If you use Gmail or have a non-St. Edward's owned computer setup with Outlook for a non-St. Edwards email account you can still use that application to check your St. Edward’s e-mail. You can check your St. Edwards account on any external email account/application. The application must support Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). External account or applications have different options or settings and you will need to see which options works best with the following:

• Incoming mail server name : mail.stedwards.edu
  • Incoming mail Port: 995
  • Requires SSL
• Outgoing mail server name: smtp.stedwards.edu
  • Outgoing mail port: 25
  • Requires SSL
