Address Lists

Zimbra supports two types of address lists, your personal contacts list and the Global Address List.

To access your contacts list click on the Address Book tab

Global Address List

Within Zimbra, the St. Edward's University directory, Global Address List (GAL), is available to faculty, staff, and students. This lists all faculty, staff and student e-mail addresses.  You can also search this list from the main Zimbra page by searching Company Contacts. You cannot edit GAL entries. You can, however, import the address once it appears in mail you have sent or received. You can then add additional information, once it is in your Contacts list.

Personal Contacts

Your personal Contacts list is maintained and used exclusively by you. No other user can see your Contacts list.

The contacts list is your personal address book. Only you can view the contents of your contacts list. Only a name is required to create a contact. You can create detailed contact cards that include full name, multiple email addresses, work, home, and other addresses, phone numbers, and notes about that contact.
