Podcasting

Podcasting is a term inspired by the Apple Computer Corporation’s iPod. Podcasting refers to any hardware and software combination that allow users to download audio from the internet to a computer or another device (mp3 player, Ipod) for later listening. Unlike other media, users have complete control over when they hear the content.

Serious Games

Learning with Serious Games
Play the game, make a difference

What are serious games? How might desktop and mobile-based games provide learning experiences that are engaging and immersive?  Serious games situate students in authentic learning contexts through role-play and real-play around critical social issues.  Four broad categories of games are presented:  simulations, exploratory games, casual games, and games that promote real play.

Wikis

A Wiki is a collaborative website that can be viewed and modified by anyone with a web browser. Wikis may be accessed online, or you may set-up an RSS feed so that subscribers are notified of new entries via email or mobile devices.

You may incorporate one or more wikis into your Blackboard Course. These wikis may be set to "private," only viewable between the instructor and each individual student, or "public," in which students may see each other's pages and make contributions.
