Internet Access

Connecting Your TiVo

In order to place a TiVo on the St. Edward's network we need to have the MAC address or hardware address of the TiVo.  Please follow the instructions below to get the MAC address for your TiVo.  We will need you to check both of these methods so you will send us two MAC addresses. Why? The MAC address information changes when another network card (ex: a wireless card) is connected into the TiVo box. This information will conflict with the network card adapter's MAC address.

Windows XP Security Center

Connecting to the St. Edward's network from a Windows computer requires that the Windows Security Center be turned on and reporting that the Firewall is on, that Windows Updates are current and that a valid AntiVirus application is installed and working.

  1. Click on Start and go to Control Panel.

  2. Click on Security Center.

Online Gaming

While on the campus network, peer-to-peer connection is not allowed. Otherwise your computer will get blocked from the Internet. Below are solutions for online games that require or need the latest patch or download.

Registering Game Consoles

You are allowed to register up to 20 devices on the SEU Network.
