How to Restore Emails that have been Deleted

Need to restore an email that you deleted and is no longer in the trash? No problem! Whether you deleted or emptied the trash from Outlook (IMAP or Zimbra Connector)  or Mac Mail (with the Trash mailbox mapped) you can restore the email in Zimbra.

You must do this from Zimbra Webmail, not from Outlook or Mac Mail.

IT will be upgrading to the latest version of the Zimbra server. During this time you will not be able to send or receive email through Zimbra Webmail, Zimbra Desktop, Outlook or Apple Mail or any mobile device connected to the St. Edward's mail server.




	

Creating System-wide Aliases

For administrative accounts only!

User-defined, system-wide aliases are created through the Jenzabar-CX/CARS database system which is only available to users with an admin account. You must have access to the CARS database in order to create a system-wide alias. The creator of the alias is responsible for its maintenance and upkeep.

System-wide aliases are created and updated on the Jenzabar-CX/CARS system. You can use the aliases from any email application.

Use system-wide aliases by typing in the email address ulist.aliasname@stedwards.edu.

How to Check your St. Edwards Email on Gmail

 
  1. Go to Settings
  2. Click on Accounts and Import then Click on Add POP3 Email Account
  3. Enter your stedwards email address. Click on Next Step

Instructions for Home or Off Campus Set Up of Email

These instructions are NOT for use by faculty and staff on campus or on university owned computers.  All faculty and staff should use the Zimbra Connector for Outlook or setup Mac Mail with IMAP.

For Off Campus access to St. Edward's Email it is highly recommended that you use Zimbra WebMail.

Accepting a Shared Folder

Once someone has shared a folder with you, you have to accept the share.

1.  Click Accept Share in the Upper-Left corner of the e-mail notification.

2. In the Accept Share Box,  you can rename the folder and select a color for the folder to differentiate it from your personal folders. Click Yes.

Templates
