There are scammers out there purporting to be from legitimate government agencies who are really trying to gain access to your bank account. Some St. Edward's students have been contacted via phone by someone asking for bank account and debit card numbers in order to process their Pell grant. Remember that the government does not send out unsolicited mails or phone calls saying that you have qualified for a grant. There is a specific web page devoted to the topic of Pell Grant scams.
