Area Issue Workaround
Safari 5.x File uploads to Blackboard are not working with this browser.  Specific problems have been reported with versions 5.1.7 and 5.0.9 but all Safari 5 versions may experience a problem with file uploads. Use Firefox or Chrome instead.
Announcement Emails If you create an announcement in Blackboard it automatically sends an email notification to all students in your class.  However, that sends an email notification from the default account which is the Faculty Resource Center email (instcom@stedwards.edu). If students reply to this email the reply will go to the instcom@stedwards.edu.

To have the email about a new announcement come from your faculty account you should check the box in the Announcement section to "Send a copy of this announcement immediately".

LRN-30612 Embedding Content Using iFrame Tag Results in Menu Display Issues

IE 9 issue only - Menu appears behind iFrame when embedding content such as a movie

Use Firefox or another browser to reach controls

Youtube Videos are not Embedded for Students when using iFrame embed code
Students use the default embed code from YouTube and when they submit Wiki or other item the video does not display.

Example Code
<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/qm3tYrewde4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Use instead the Old Embed Method which uses an object tag instead of an iframe tag.

Example Code
<object width="420" height="315"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/qm3tYrewde4?version=3&amp;hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/qm3tYrewde4?version=3&amp;hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="420" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>
