Premont Hall: An Inviting Atmosphere
St. Edward’s has renovated a number of existing buildings to provide new office space for faculty and staff members. Walk into Premont Hall and you’d never guess it was once a residence hall. Named for Mary Premont, who deeded the land she owned to the Brothers of Holy Cross in Texas, the hall was built in 1963 and renovated in 2005. It now provides more than 50 faculty offices and updated space for:
- Instructional Computing
- Center for Teaching Excellence
- Office of Faculty Grants
- Business Office
Chic signage runs along the corridor and accents such as vintage-inspired fixtures and a warm color palette give the building an inviting atmosphere. Renovations also included the development of a shaded outdoor space and picnic area where students, as well as faculty and staff members, can escape the Texas sun.
