Below is short list of ways to serve St. Edward's:
Volunteers will assist St. Edward’s with the admissions process by representing St. Edward’s at local college fairs for high school students, contacting prospective students on behalf of St. Edward’s, hosting recruitment events, or refer a student for admission.
Share your knowledge and insights with students by volunteering your time to be a guest speaker or a panelist for various St. Edward’s University classes and organizations. Volunteers can also hire a St. Edward’s student, create an internship opportunity, or provide a job shadowing experience.
Special Event Host Volunteer
Assist in the identification of a location, planning, and execution of an event. Regional events are special opportunities to bring together prospective students, their families, and St. Edward’s alumni. They are coordinated with the assistance of University Staff.
Faculty and Staff Campaign Volunteer
Volunteers ask their colleagues to consider making a contribution to support the work of the university. This campaign enjoys a high level of participation, due in part to the peer-to peer nature of the volunteer activity.
Reunion & Class Gift Volunteers
Reunion Class Volunteers form committees around key reunions each year for Homecoming and Family Weekend. These volunteers help plan their reunion events, encourage their classmates to return to campus homecoming, and work with development officers to coordinate their class gift.
Alumni Network Volunteers
Volunteers serve as the primary contact for alumni in their community and provide opportunities and events for alumni to connect with each other and the Hilltop. They plan and coordinate service and social events for alumni, assist wuth admission and career services efforts, help with fundraising initiatives, and reach out to new graduates in their area.
Alumni Board Volunteer
Members of the Alumni Board serve as ambassadors for the Alumni and Parent Programs Office, nurturing a lifelong connection to the St. Edward’s community for current and future alumni. Members are selected to hold the position based on demonstrated involvement, support and commitment to St. Edward's University.
