Peer Tutoring

What is peer tutoring?

Peer tutoring for undergraduate students is one-on-one help from carefully selected and trained students who have previously taken and excelled in the course for which they tutor.

What courses are available?

We offer tutoring in a variety of courses, ranging from math and science to writing, business and psychology.  Please see the table below to see what we currently offer.

How much does tutoring cost?

Tutoring is available for no charge to student athletes, CAMP students and students who have the Pell grant as part of their financial aid package.  The ASC will determine your eligibility when you come in for tutoring.  If you do not qualify for "free" tutoring, the cost is $8.50 per hour.

When is tutoring available?

Please be sure to review the ASC's business hours.  Tutors submit their schedules, making sure to vary days of the week and times.  Please call or come in to find out the most up-to-date schedule for your desired subject's tutoring hours.

How do I schedule an appointment?

You may either call (512-637-1996) or stop by the ASC (MH 118) to schedule during business hours. All appointments must be made 24 hours in advance.  Also, please take a look at our tutoring contract for specific information.
