Welcome Class of 2019

First of all, we are so glad that you will be attending St. Edward's University and we can't wait to meet you at orientation and work with you all year!

Who We Are/What We Do...
Academic Counseling and Exploration (ACE) counselors provide individualized academic counseling, advising and exploration of majors to help freshmen students take responsibility for defining and planning their academic objectives.  Students and counselors work together to review academic progress, plan semester schedules, explore major/degree options, clarify goals and develop sound academic skills in preparation for assignment to a faculty advisor in their chosen major.

Freshman Studies Flyer

Freshman Studies lectures approach topics from at least two distinct academic disciplines.  The lecture course (FSTY 1310) will be taken in conjunction with one of the FSTY writing courses depending on the student's English placement.

University Basics Powerpoint

This powerpoint will walk you through some of the basic knowledge you'll need to know about things like credit hours, what a class schedule will look like, and degree plans.  Be sure to ask your ACE academic counselor if you have any questions!
